Well the crowd is trying to get on buses and light rail. Reaction from delegates on the bus:
- Thought he was great. Addressed “criticisms” directly. Excellent remark on Obama being a celebrity — awesome comeback
- Talked so clearly about ways to unite us instead of divide us
- Criticized McCain’s policies but did not disparage his character
- The election is not about me - it’s about us
- Rep Graham from Illinois sitting next to me on the bus) worked with Sen Obama in Illinois. She enjoyed Sen Obama’s remarks about his mother as it rang so true. She loves that he tries to reconcile our differences. Rep Graham was a victim of domestic violence and overcame much adversity in her rise. She spoke glowingly about Sen Obama
You know, it’s ironic - we are concerned that so many children look at sport stars and performers as role models– and when they admire someone who worked hard to graduate from college and Harvard Law School and is trying to make our country better, they condemn that too!
Delegation enthralled and energized

Regular folks
A Detroit worker - concerned about jobs

Thoughtful speech

We must seize this opportunity to elect Barack Obama.

Finishes to thunderous applause. Chris g gets here - took her 3 hours to get in - used the most crowded entrance
Many sightings. Lance just saw Mohammad Ali. Mathew Modine just walked by and stopped - I ran out of time to tell that story from yesterday but we had an empty seat for a while yesterday so Manita (brilliant patent attorney from Holland and Hart) and Yvette told him he should join us. He spent 30 minutes with us talking about many things including his new role playing ted binion
Stevie Wonder begins
Floor is jammed pack

Delivering strong speech - outlining all mccain’s inconsistent positions saying he may pay hundreds for shoes but wants us to pay for his flip flops. Asks if anyone will miss Cheney? Loud no follows

Almost everyone here. Sitting next to our attorney general and in front of the New Hampshire Speaker Terri Norelli - also the first woman speaker of her state.
Every day is a winding road playing.

Singing Change will do us good. Boy that’s that the truth
